The Azerbaijani army positions in the Kalbajar direction have been shelled, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reports.
"On the evening of July 7, the Armenian armed forces units' from the positions in the direction of the settlement of Zyarkand in the Basarkeçer district on the state border subjected to fire our army positions deployed in the direction of the settlement of Yukhara Airym in the Kalbajar disrict, using various caliber small arms", the ministry's official website said.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry added that as a result of adequate response measures taken by the units of the republic's army, the enemy was suppressed.
