The Armenian government is introducing Covid-19 health pass to help the people return to a normal life while minimizing the risks of contamination, Armenian Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said.
She said an order to that effect will be issued by her ministry on January 10. Under the new rules the citizens will be required to present proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test result done within 72 hours to visit public places.
"The order will enter into force 15 days after it is issued to give businesses time to prepare," ARKA cited her as saying.
"When visiting public catering venues, theaters, concerts, citizens must present either a PCR test result made within 72 hours, or a rapid test result or a vaccination certificate," Avanesyan said.
The minister also said that the procedure is fully digitalized, and by means of a mobile application both the test results and the QR code of the vaccination certificate can be properly displayed in the phones.
