‘‘Next year Armenia intends to restore the Lchashenskuyu cyclopean fortress, built in the 7th century BC,’’ the country's Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan said today at the National Assembly.
The fortress belongs to the Urartian period. Among other monuments will be the temple of the Holy Gregory (Bardzrakash) in the village of Dsegh in Lori region (10-13th century), Marmashen in the Shirak region (10th-11th century), the Dvina settlement in the Ararat region (4-5th century), as well as the temple Mshkavank in the Tavush region (the first mention was in 13th century), NEWS.am reports.
