Armenia's economic activity falls by 4.7%

The level of economic activity in Armenia in this July fell 4.7% in comparison with last July, Haykakan Zhamanak reports.

Just a fortnight ago, Armenia’s Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan summed up the figures for the first half of the year at a cabinet meeting and was satisfied with the 4% economic growth during that period. He ordered the ministers to present the optimistic figures to the public," Aysor.am reports.

However, the ministers are unlikely to do so. The latter half of the year has not shown too optimistic figures, with almost all the economic sectors recording a decline, Tert.am reports.
