Armenia’s brandy production in 2016 soared by 27% from the previous year to about 21.6 million liters, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said.
According to statistics, wine production last year increased by 14.8% to 6.8 million liters, production of vodka decreased by 13% to 8.2 million liters and production of whiskey increased by 23.2% to 1.4 million liters.
The production of champagne increased by 8.4% to 713,400 liters, production of beer declined by 10.4% to 18.6 million liters. Production of soft drinks fell by 5.2% to 77.5 million liters, ARKA reports.
