Arseniy Yatsenyuk resigns

The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, has resigned.

"I decided to resign as the Prime Minister of Ukraine," he said.

He also informed that the decision on his resignation will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada on April 12th.

"We cannot allow the destabilization of the executive branch during a war. This will be inevitable if after this resignation a new government of Ukraine is not selected immediately," Arseniy Yatsenyuk noted.

At the same time, the Prime Minister of Ukraine said that his faction 'People's Front' will stay in the coalition. 'The People's Front' will stay in the coalition, because it is the only method to protect the state," he explained.

At the same time, Yatsenyuk noted that the 'Petro Poroshenko Bloc' faction has already nominated the parliamentary speaker Volodymyr Hroisman.

"Having done everything to ensure stability and the continuity of our course, I declare my decision to transfer the obligations of the head of government," Yatsenyuk concluded.

Recall that Yatsenyuk was appointed to head the government on February 27, 2014, becoming the 15th Prime Minister of Ukraine.
