Assad's troops launch ground operation against opposition backed by Russian aircraft

The Syrian army carried out ground attacks on insurgent positions in Syria backed by Russian air strikes, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Ground attacks of the Syrian army targeted at least four settlements. Russia's air strikes hit northern parts of Hama province and nearby areas in Idlib province, Reuters reports.
