Athletes to compete for 14 sets of medals on Olympics second day

Today, on the second day of summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), athletes will compete for 14 sets of medals. 

There will be competitions in cycling, shooting, archery, judo, diving, fencing, weightlifting and swimming.

At 15:00 MSK, 1/8 finals of women's team competition in archery, where Russian team is the world champion, will begin. Russians are exempt from the first stage of playoffs, and will meet the winner of India - Colombia match in the 1/4 finals at 22:15 MSK. The final match is scheduled for 23:07 MSK.

Qualification in two types of shooting will also begin at 15:00 MSK - women's trap and Women's 10m air pistol.

Four sets of medals will be awarded in swimming. Evening program begins at 02:00 MSK. 

Women's team road race will begin at 18:15 MSK.

Olympic competitions in diving will begin on 3-meter springboard. Synchronized swimmers will compete for medals at 22:00 MSK.

Judo competitions will be held in two categories - men in the weight category under 66 kg women in the weight category under 52 kg.

Weightlifters will compete in the categories under 53 kg (women) and 56 kg (man).
