Authorities of Russia and Oman stress importance of Geneva-1in Syrian settlement

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation today with the Foreign Minister of Oman, Yusuf bin Alawi.

"The Ministers discussed the current situation in Syria. The need was pointed out for a decisive rebuff to terrorists, as well as the early start of a political settlement on the basis of the Geneva communiqué of June 30th 2012," the Russian agency reports.
