As reported today by the Southern Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, there is a high level of avalanche threat in the North Caucasus. The avalanche threat remains all day long at the altitudes of 2.5 km, primarily in the Tsuntinsky region.
"It will not be safe to stay there until May 14. Among other things, strong precipitation and thunderstorms are possible in these areas of Dagestan. Wind speed can reach up to 15 m per second, the rescuers of the Southern Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergencies warn.
