Azerbaijan's gas exports to Europe increased from January through June 2024, Azerbaijani Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said.
According to the minister, this figure totaled 6.4 bcm - up 12.2% compared to 5.7 bcm in the first half of 2023.
Overall, Azerbaijan's gas exports abroad grew by 6% in the first six months of 2024. Thus, gas supplies from the country to Türkiye amounted to 5 bcm, and to Georgia - 1.3 bcm.
During this period, almost 3 bcm of gas were transported to Türkiye through the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP).
