Azerbaijan plans to close the import of agricultural products into the country.
"I believe the import, as a concept, should not even exist. But now we probably need to allow imports for a variety of assortments, as some people are accustomed to foreign goods and give preference to them," abc.az cited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
In his opinion, regulatory measures should be taken in order to increase local production. "First, the proceeds from local products stay in Azerbaijan. Second, local production is quality. It has no chemical or dangerous to the human body substances," he said.
