The Ministry of Culture & Tourism of Azerbaijan has discussed the issue of introduction of regulation and improvement of the professionalism of tourist guides, abc.az reports.
The Ministry informs that the discussion also involved representatives of the Azerbaijan Tourism Association (AzTa), the Tourism & Management University and professional guides.
"During the meeting the sides discussed issues of accreditation of guides from the Ministry’s Certification Commission and provision of special cards to guides, maintaining of the principle of political security, as well as the formation of the Association of Guides of Azerbaijan," the MCTA said.
During the talks it was decided to hold regular meetings on the theme of improving the quality of services of guides and proposed to organize the Forum of Guides.
