Azerbaijan has created excellent conditions for the development of sports, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan Zachary Gross said in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza on the eve of of the Trampoline Tumbling World Championship in Baku.
"There are a lot sporting events regulated in Baku. We're seeing Azerbaijan playing more prominent role in international sports. France is also a sporting nation, so we're very happy to be here," he said, noting that there's a great atmosphere in Baku.
In addition, diplomat noted: "This is an important moment, because it's a preparation for the 2020. After Tokyo 2020, there's Paris 2024. So we have to have good cooperation with Azerbaijan in sports in the years to come."
Speaking about atmosphere he said: "It's very moder, lively atmosphere. There's lots of young people. It's very friendly. So it's good to be here."
