The head of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, Zakir Hasanov, has received the newly appointed Secretary General of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers, Yuriy Dashkin, in Baku, Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry said.
Zakir Hasanov has declared his readiness to develop military relations with the CIS countries. "There are prospects for further development of military cooperation with our CIS counterparts," abc.az cited Hasanov as saying.
Dashkin, who has paid his first visit to Baku in his new capacity, also stressed the importance of expansion of links in military sphere between the CIS countries.
