Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has recalled a number of ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions of the country abroad.
For example, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Kazakhstan Zakir Hashimov, ambassador to Turkmenistan Vahdat Sultanzadeh, ambassador to Estonia Tofig Zulfugarov, and ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Elkhan Gahramanov were recalled. Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, Chile and Uruguay, Mammad Ahmadzadeh, was also recalled, abc.az reports.
The president also recalled Murad Najafbayli from the position of Azerbaijan’s permanent representative at the UN Office, Hasan Zeynalov from the post of Consul General in Istanbul and Rashad Mammadov from the post of Consul General in the Kazakh city of Aktau.
