The section of the railway between Iran and Azerbaijan in the framework of the international North-South project must be built before the end of 2016, the head of Azerbaijan Railways Javid Gurbanov said.
"The missing 7.5-kilometer railway section on the territory of Azerbaijan and the railway bridge on the border with Iran will be built before the end of 2016. There is an order of the head of state, the sources of funding are also calculated," Gurbanov said.
Recall, this project will connect Northern Europe to South-East Asia. It will serve as a bridge to connect the railways of Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia.
