The tariffs for transportation services will be raised in Azerbaijan after the Tariff Council adopted a decision to increase energy tariffs.
"The raised prices for electricity and gas will increase the cost of services provided by the railroad," the chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), Javid Gurbanov, said.
"ADY pays 1.3 million lari for electricity monthly. If prices for one thing rise, then prices for another thing should increase automatically," abc.az cited Gurbanov as saying.
Since December 1, 2016, there will be an increase in electricity tariffs and their differentiation.
The price of aviation fuel has been also increased, but AZAL has not made any statements on the occasion yet.
