The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said that due to the European Parliament’s resolution on Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan has postponed a visit by a delegation of the European Commission to Baku.
“In general, in connection with the anti-Azerbaijani and anti-Islamic tendencies, we should reconsider relations with the European Union,” the ministry said.
The head of the EU mission to Azerbaijan, Malena Mard, was summoned to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry regarding a resolution recently adopted by the European Parliament on Azerbaijan.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Mahmud Mammadguliyev, said that “separate criminal cases are deliberately politicized in the document and groundless claims are made as a counterbalance to their real essence."
