Azerbaijan to start production of deep-laying gas on Caspian ACG block

Azerbaijan has defined the approximate terms of the start of natural gas production from deep-laying strata in the Caspian oil and gas field block of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG), Azerbaijani Energy Minister Natig Aliyev said, adding that production may begin in 2026.

"According to our estimates, potential production could reach 12 bn cu m of gas a year," abc.az cited Aliyev as saying.

According to him, reserves of deep-laying gas at the ACG total about 280 bn cu m.
