AzerbaijanI town twins with IsraelI town for first time

On July 9 an Israeli delegation visited the Azerbaijani town of Mingachevir for the first time. The ceremony of signing a twinning agreement between Mingachevir and the town of Afula was held during the visit. The document was signed by the Mayor of Mingachevir, Niyazi Bayramov and the First Deputy Mayor of Afula, Michael Barkan. 

The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Tirat Carmel, Arie Tal, the first deputy mayor of Acre, Zeev Neuman, the head of the Sholumi Center, Shaul Siman-Tov, a member of the AZIZ directorate, Rauf Agalarov, and a representative of the Union of Professional Artists of Israel, Galina Podolskaya.

"I am sure this is only the beginning, and soon the same close and friendly relations between other cities of our country will be established," the Director General of the International Association Israel-Azerbaijan 'AzIz', Lev Spivak, said.
