Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan's irresponsibly going beyond the joint statement on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was not right, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said, addressing a joint press conference with his Polish counterpart Witold Waszczykowski in Baku.
“It was a joint statement whose entire text was dictated by the presidents. Serzh Sargsyan’s irresponsibly going beyond that statement was not right," Mammadyarov said.
The minister noted that the talks on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be substantive.
"There are concrete proposals as to how the co-chairs should broker the talks by the end of the year. They proposed holding a meeting of the foreign ministers in the near future. The principle goal is to hold the discussions concretely. The location and date of the meeting is not fixed yet," Mammadyarov added.
