The press service of the Azerbaijani President reported today that Ilham Aliyev phoned Azerbaijani taekwondo, Radik Isayev, and congratulated him with the gold medal - the first Azerbaijani ‘gold’ at the Olympics in Rio.
The President emphasized that with this victory Isaev pleased the people of Azerbaijan, adding that before he had proved the superiority in his weight class over the other taekwondo. Ilham Aliyev warmly congratulated the athlete, wishing him more big wins. He conveyed his congratulations to the coach Radik Isayev.
