The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan is introducing an element of e-commerce into its practice, the chairman of the State Committee, Ramiz Hasanov, said today.
"The system of e-sales of state standards is created within the second EU twinning project titled 'The conformity of the national standardization system with European standards'. It will be finished in the next few days and then the e-sale of national standards will start," abc.az cited Hasanov as saying.
"The new project aims mainly to foster a system of metrology and create the relevant infrastructure, improve the legal environment and ensure compliance of the regulatory and legal framework with European standards," Hasanov said.
The project will be implemented by a consortium of the Institute of Metrology of the Czech Republic and the Institute of Physics and Technology of Germany.
