Azerbaijani Vice Prime Minister: relations with World Bank developing successfully

Relations between the Azerbaijani government and the World Bank (WB) have reached a new stage, Azerbaijani vice prime minister ,the head of the State Committee for Refugees and Displaced Persons, Ali Hasanov, said at a meeting with the World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Mercy Tembon, and the head of its Baku office, Larisa Leshchenko.

The period of cooperation with the World Bank was a good experience for the Azerbaijani government, the Azerbaijani Vice Prime Minister said.

"Today, Azerbaijan is developing rapidly as a result of the successful policy pursued by the President Ilham Aliyev and has become one of the most authoritative countries of the world," Trend cited Hasanov as saying.

He said that several successful projects with the World Bank to improve the welfare of refugees and internally displaced persons were also implemented and the work in this direction is continuing today.

Mercy Tembon praised the work on solving the problems of refugees and internally displaced persons undertaken by Azerbaijan.
