An official welcome ceremony has been held for Italian President Sergio Mattarella, who is on an official visit in Azerbaijan.
Following the ceremony, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Sergio Mattarella have held a one-on-one meeting. They sides hail successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Italy in political, economic and other fields. Confidence was expressed that the Italian President Sergio Mattarella’s official visit to Azerbaijan will contribute to the expansion of bilateral ties.
They also exchanged views on bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest, AzerTAc reported.
Following the one-on-one meeting, Ilham Aliyev and Sergio Mattarella have been joined by their delegations for a meeting in an expanded format.
Following the expanded meeting, a ceremony of signing documents was held with the participation of the presidents.
