A 150-year-old icon found by the Azerbaijani serviceman, Ramiz Safarov, during the battles for Hadrut was handed over to Holy Myrrhbearers Cathedral in Baku.
Safar Safarli, the director of the Turan company, which repairs heavy equipment of the Azerbaijani army, said the icon was accidentally found during the repair work in Hadrut. It was cleansed and brought to Baku to be handed over to the church, Safarli added.
