Five wrestlers of the Azerbaijani judo team will return home from the Open Championship of Oceania with various medals.
This prestigious tournament was held in the Australian town of Wollongong.
The best result was achieved by Mammadali Mehdiyev, who became the strongest in the weight category up to 90kg. Silver medals were awarded to Ushangi Kokauri and Aisha Gurbanli in the categories of over 100kg and up to 48kg respectively. Orujov Velizade (the weight category up to 60kg) and Fagan Guluzade (the weight category up to 73kg) managed to take third place in the tournament, according to the 1news.az news agency.
