Iran's ambassador to Baku, Mohsen Pakayin, has informed about simplification of the visa regime for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to him, previously they could stay on the territory of Iran without a visa for only 15 days. Now the period has been extended to 30 days.
Since February 1st 2010, Azerbaijani citizens do not need visas to travel to Iran. Tehran took this step unilaterally, Sputnik Azerbaijan reports.
