An earthquake measuring magnitude 5.3 struck Azerbaijan’s Saatli district in 07:24 am local time, the Republican Seismic Survey Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences said.
The quake occurred at a depth of 39 kilometers. Underground tremors in the epicenter were felt up to magnitude 5, in nearby settlements magnitude 3-4.
The tremors were also felt in the districts of Kurdamir, Shamakhi, Agshu, Hajigabul, Sabirabad and Fuzuli, APA reported.
No casualties or damage have been reported so far.
