Azerbaijan's natural gas reserves are expected to last at least for the next 120 years, according to the joint calculations of Fitch Ratings and BP.
The international agency emphasizes that according to this indicator, Azerbaijan is one of the leading countries of the world and comes after Qatar. According to Fitch estimates, Azerbaijani gas reserves in 2019 accounted for 0.8% of global reserves.
It is specified that if we take into account production, then in terms of gas reserves Kazakhstan is approximately at the same level as Azerbaijan.
In 2019, 35,6 bln c/m gas was produced in Azerbaijan, while in 2020 - 36,7 bln. c/m.
