BP, as the operator of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field development project, has implemented a planned facility shutdown of the Chirag platform.
The production from the Chirag platform will be suspended for about 25 days to enable efficient maintenance, inspection and project work to be undertaken," abc.az cited the press release of BP-Azerbaijan as saying.
The production from the Central Azeri, West Azeri, East Azeri, Deepwater Gunashli, West Chirag and Shah Deniz fields, as well as export operations via BTC, SCP and WREP, will continue. The Sangachal Terminal will continue to operate.
