Yesterday evening the BP company resumed production of natural gas at the largest gas condensate field 'Shah Deniz' in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
Work on the platform was suspended on August 2 in connection with routine maintenance.
"Yesterday evening we resumed production of gas from the 'Shah Deniz' platform. The process of bringing it to its full capacity is continuing gradually," the head of the press service of BP-Azerbaijan Tamam Bayatly said today, adding that "the whole program of work is successfully completed, and maintenance works were finished even earlier than expected." "A testing process was also conducted successfully, after which production was resumed," Trend quotes him as saying.
