BSEC chairmanship transferred from Armenia to Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan assumed the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) chairmanship from Armenia today at the meeting of the Council of BSEC Foreign Ministers.

The 38th meeting of the Council of BSEC Foreign Ministers was held in Yerevan today. Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev represented the country at the meeting.

The chairmanship was transferred on a rotating basis.

The Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation was established in 1992. Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine are its member states.
