 BTK passenger train service to start in June

The Azerbaijani Railways’ (ADY) authorities plans to start passenger train service via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, the ADY chairman Javid Gurbanov said at the 'Strategic Partnership 1520: Central Europe' business forum held in Vienna.

"Before starting international transport services, it is necessary to solve some technical issues related to the gauge line, which was ordered from the Swiss company Stadler," abc.az cited Gurbanov as saying.

It is planned that the first stage of passenger train service will be carried out to the Turkish city of Kars.
