The provocative statements by the RIA Novosti news agency cast a shadow on the efforts to establish peace in the region, the press secretary of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Leyla Abdullayeva, said, commenting on the interview of the Armenian politician, so-called ”minister" of the fake separatist regime created by Yerevan on the Azerbaijani soil, Artak Beglaryan, to the agency.
She stressed that the dissemination by the Russian state news agency of information directed against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, promoting slander and separatist tendencies, is contrary to the spirit of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia and therefore causes serious regret.
”Such actions of the State Agency are contrary to the provisions of the 1997 Agreement on Friendship, Security and Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation and the 2022 Declaration on Allied Interaction," Leyla Abdullayeva said.
