The 22nd Baku Championships and Competitions in Rhythmic Gymnastics started in Baku.
110 gymnasts, representing the Baku Gymnastics School, the Republican Complex Sports School, Ojag, Neftchi, Spartak, Start sports clubs, as well as Sarhadchi Olympic Sports Center, are participating in the tournament.
The first day of the competitions began with performances of "youngsters" (born in 2005-2007) in an individual program who define the prize-winners in the all-around (without apparatus, a rope, a hoop and a ball) by the end of the day. Afterwards, teams in group exercises, consisting of female athletes in the same category, as well as pre-juniors (born in 2003-2004), will join the competitions. “Youngsters” will demonstrate 2 exercises (without apparatus, balls) and pre-juniors just one (hoops).
