Baku holds last day of AGF Junior Trophy International Tournament in Rhythmic Gymnastics

The second day of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) Junior Trophy International Tournament has opened at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.

Today junior rhythmic gymnasts will compete in individual competitions in the hoop and ball exercises (12:00 local time, 11:00 MSK), as well as the ribbon and clubs exercises (13:30 local time, 12:30 MSK). Strongest gymnasts in each category will be awarded at the ceremony.

Following the first day of competitions Azerbaijan's junior rhythmic gymnasts reached all the finals. Arzu Jalilova will represent Azerbaijan in the finals in the clubs and ribbon exercises, Narmina Samadova - in the finals in the exercises with a ball and Darya Farshbafshakhriyari - in the finals in the exercises with a hoop.

Yesterday, Darya Farshbafshakhriyari and Arzu Jalilova won bronze in team event at AGF Junior Trophy. The Russian team consisting of Lala Kramarenko, Daria Trubnikova and Anastasia Sergeeva won the gold medal, while Anna Kamenshchikova and Yana Striga representing Belarus won silver.

In addition, Arzu Jalilova won the specially established prize of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation AGF Trophy.

According to the rules of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), the participants from 18 countries are competing in the age category of gymnasts born in 2003-2005.
