Baku is hosting the 11th Azerbaijani International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition and Conference Bakutel 2015.
"President Ilham Aliyev named the ICT sphere as a priority. Azerbaijan has become a leader in the region for its latest achievements and development of the ICT sphere, and now the country is turning into a regional leader in the development of space technologies," abc.az cited the country’s first deputy minister and acting minister of communications and high technologies, Ramin Guluzade, as saying.
During the exhibition important contracts are expected to be signed, including on the launch of the second telecommunications satellite of Azerbaijan.
