Belarus says it lost $2 bln on Russia oil product ban

Belarusian exports shrank by more than $2 billion after Russia limited exports of oil products and contamination of oil on the Druzhba pipeline, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said.

"The change of trade conditions by the Russian Federation seriously affected the export figures, in spite of strict fulfillment by Belarus of the obligations in the framework of strategic partnership with this country," Belta cited him as saying.

"Introduction of the prohibition of oil product exports by Russia and supply of dirty oil led to a reduction of exports of our oil-related goods by $2.55 billion," Makei added.
