President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has became a honorary member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences.
According to the Director General of the National Library, Giorgi Kekelidze, the assignment to the President of Turkmenistan of an honorary title will deepen the relations between the two countries. "This event is important, because the two countries have cultural and scientific relations and this fact will further deepen them," he believes.
The Vice-President of the Georgian Academy of Sciences, Temur Naneishvili, stressed that this is the first time that a president has become a member of the Academy.
