US President Joe Biden may visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which suffered from the American atomic bombings.
Mayors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Kazumi Matsui and Tomohisa Tanue conveyed an invitation to visit these Japanese cities to the head of the White House through Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi.
"In turn, Foreign Minister Hayashi noted the importance of the international community's correct understanding of the actual situation around nuclear bombings as the first step towards nuclear disarmament", RIA Novosti quoted the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
