The Kazakh political party 'Birlik' has approved at its congress its election program and the list of candidates for participation in the forthcoming elections to the Majilis (lower chamber) of the parliament of the republic.
The chairman of the party, Serik Sultangali, said that environmental issues are the priority for the party.
The list of candidates includes eight people: the party chairman Serik Sultangali, his deputy Bolat Baikadamov, the director of the department of organization, human resources and assets of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Roza Kuanyshbayeva, an adviser to the rector of the Kazakh State Law University, Murat Raev, and others.
The Birlik party was created in 2013 after the merger of the Rukhaniyat and Adilet parties, TASS recalls.
