Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Prime Minister Tolkunbek Abdygulov said that Bishkek will recall its appeal to WTO against Kazakhstan after the situation will be resolved.
"More likely, we will suspend this complaint, but a precedent is that there was a complaint," Abdygulov stressed.
"A roadmap developed within the EEU does not differ from the roadmap which was created for the relations with Kazakhstan. We will be working as part of the EEU technical regulations," AKIpress cited him as saying.
Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a road map on economic cooperation on December 2 in Astana. According to the deal, the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border checkpoints will operate on a normal mode starting from December 3, 2017. The road map describes 50 events on solution of pressing issues of bilateral cooperation, cooperation in the field of border, transport, phytosanitary and veterinary control, customs and tax administration, the statement said.
The signing of the roap map followed the talks between the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov and his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev in Minsk on November 30 on the sidelines of the jubilee session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
Relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan have worsened after tensions arouse in mid-October when Kazakhstan switched to an enhanced border control mode, which resulted in 10-15 km-long jam of trucks, in response to then Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev's accusation of Kazakhstan authorities of meddling in the presidential election in Kyrgyzstan.
