Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov, who arrived at the crash site of the Airbus 321 on the Sinai Peninsula along with the heads of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry and Russian Aviation, reported today that the "black boxes" of the aircraft are damaged.

"There is minor technical damage. But there was no thermal effect, as the representatives of the Egyptian side say," he noted, adding that the "black boxes" have not been opened yet.

The head of Rosaviation, Alexander Neradko, in his turn, said that the flight recorders will be decoded with the participation of specialists of the department.
