A 12-year-old boy was hit by an explosion from a roadside bomb as he was walking in Silvan in Diyarbakir province, the Anadolu news agency reported.
The bomb was placed by the road to target a military vehicle. Militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) are the main suspects in the crime. An investigation has been launched into the incident, Trend reports.
