The road from Norilsk to the Alykel airport, the air hub in the northern Krasnoyarsk Region, is closed for transport because of heavy snowstorms in the area, the local emergency service told on Friday, TASS reports.
Since Thursday, in Norilsk and Taimyr the authorities warn the residents about the bad weather conditions, where the visibility is less than 1,000 meters.
"According to the traffic police decision, the Norilsk-Kayerkan-Alykel road would be closed from 07:30 (03:30 Moscow time) for the traffic, except for technological vehicles," the police said.
