A group of scientists has started to work on a book about formation of ethnicity in the North Caucasus. The authors are going to publish their work in 2016, the Center for Problems of the Caucasus and Regional Security said.
The book is being released following a conference titled 'Ethnicity and policy in the North Caucasus', which was held in late September at MGIMO.
Ethnic self-determination of natives of the North Caucasus is being formed not only under the influence of religious factors. Moreover, it is subject to constant change.
