British news presenter Huw Edwards opened the BBC’s flagship News at Ten on Tuesday night with a stunning few minutes of mesmerising live on-air silence.
A technical fault left newscaster Huw Edwards sitting in silence as the cameras rolled live at the start of the BBC News At Ten.
Viewers loved it, tweeting their approval with messages like, “Watching Huw Edwards do nothing on BBC news is kinda absorbing, like a lava lamp.”
The bulletin’s editor, Paul Royall, explained on social media that it was caused by a technical crash seconds before the show started, and praised the way Edwards coped with it, he Guardian reported.
