Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev, speaking at the opening of the 4th Global Baku Forum, noted that peace and freedom are facing serious challenges today.
"We are witnessing the worst security situations since the Second World War," he said.
According to the President of Bulgaria, due to this, national borders and respect for international principles are very important.
"We in Europe understand what is happening in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, and this directly affects our lives," he stressed.
"The world is out of balance today and a new balance has to be found," Trend cited Plevneliev as saying.
